The Interns Hub ("we," "us," or "our") is a non-profit organization registered in the Philippines. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

We collect information you provide directly when you use our services:

  • Account information: name, email address, password, and role (student, company, school)
  • Event registration: name, email, phone number, school or company, course/program, year level, city, attendance type, and dietary restrictions
  • Course enrollment: enrollment date and lesson progress
  • Contact inquiries: name, email, and message content
  • Sponsor inquiries: company name, contact name, email, phone, website, and message
  • Job applications: resume and cover letter
  • Technical data: cookies, browser type, and usage analytics collected automatically when you visit our website

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To manage your account and provide access to our platform
  • To process event registrations and send event-related communications
  • To deliver courses and track your learning progress
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide support
  • To send you updates about events, courses, and opportunities (only with your consent)

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Sections 12 and 13), we process your personal information based on:

  • Contractual necessity, to provide the services you requested
  • Legitimate interest, to improve and secure our platform
  • Legal obligation, to comply with applicable Philippine laws

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with the following service providers who help us operate our platform:

  • Resend — for sending transactional and marketing emails
  • Cloudflare R2 — for secure file storage
  • Vercel — for website hosting
  • Neon — for database hosting

These providers are contractually required to protect your data and only process it on our behalf.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:

  • Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Event registration data is retained for up to 3 years after the event for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Course enrollment data is kept for as long as your account is active.
  • Contact form submissions are retained for up to 1 year.

6. Your Rights

Under Republic Act No. 10173, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure — request that we delete your personal data
  • Object — object to the processing of your personal data
  • Data portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used format
  • File a complaint — lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission if you believe your rights have been violated
